Boater's Eye View of Annapolis

Named in the year 1694 after Princess Anne, future queen of England, Annapolis is state capital of Maryland and once even was the temporary capital of the United States. Today, Annapolis is home of the US Naval Academy. Known as the sailing capital, and visiting Annapolis by boat is easy, convenient, and enjoyable.

The original video on this page provides a boater's eye view of entering the Annapolis Harbor from the Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Severn River. It explores the city's navigable waters, including the harbor, "Ego Alley", and Spa Creek. It provides information on public moorings, public dock slips, and anchoring. See the water taxi service that provides transport from boat to other points along the water for you and your guests. Dinghy landings, park docks, and street ends at water provide easy access to the historic and residential districts.

Also view the city's web page for the Harbor Master for more information about transient mooring and docking.
