In a tribute to the twentieth century guru of Italian design, Gio Ponti, Sambonet is pleased to announce the re-introduction of its Gio Ponti Flatware Collection. For over 60 years, Gio Ponti designed buildings, furniture, fixtures, ceramics, and household articles, using simple yet elegant lines and color to remove visual weight. In the year 1939, Gio Ponti designed this beautiful line of flatware, which carries his name and with his signature embellished upon the knife blade.

The Sambonet exclusive HSSP electro-silverplating process (twice as hard as traditional silverplating) adds a thick layer of 999.5 per mille silver to plate the high-quality 18/10 stainless steel base. Each piece is hand polished to mirror perfection.

Selected knives are available in either hollow handle or solid handle construction. Hollow handle knives feature two-piece construction and are designed for perfect balance in the hand and on the plate.
