New River outdoor furniture is made from the finest jatoba hardwood, also known as Brazilian cherry, which features a fine grain. It is known for its density and weather resistance, and is much harder than teak with twice the strength of red oak and shock resistant qualities similar to ash and hickory. All of our jatoba hardwood is certified by the internationally recognized Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for harvesting from environmentally managed forests.
