The wok is the highly versatile cooking vessel used often in Asian cuisine. Used most often for stir frying (chao or chow), the wok also is used for steaming, deep frying, braising, stewing, and soup. For each of its woks, Demeyere uses its encapsulated, 2.3mm-thick 7-ply technology from rim to rim to produce outstanding thermal performance. Compared to traditional wok construction using solid steel or cast iron, a Demeyere wok allows the chef much greater heat control and speed during cooking regardless of the process.
