Swissmar Swiss Apenzell Fondue Set
From the Swissmar Swiss Design line of fondue sets, Apenzell is ideal for cheese fondue. The heavy 9-inch, 2-5/8 quart ceramic fondue pot prevents the temperature from getting too hot and burning the cheese. Swiss Design fonde pots exhibit "crackling", an important process that allows the glaze to expand during heating.
Appenzell, in eastern Switzerland, is known for its rural mountain charm, ancient traditions, folk crafts, and friendly inhabitants. The fondue pot features dairy herders wearing the local costume with cattle and goats. The motif is reminiscent of the decorative tooling adorning Appenzeller cowbell straps. Included in the 9-piece Swiss Apenzell Fondue Set are:
