These serving trays are pressed from commercial-quality 18/10 stainless steel (thickness 1.5-2.0mm). A pressed copper edge is also is welded to each tray rim in a patented Sambonet special process. Handles are constructed from hot pressed brass, and all welding is done by hand using silver alloy brazing. Then the exclusive Sambonet silverplate with bright mirror polish finish process, known as HSSP (Hard Sambonet SilverPlating), adds a thick layer of 999.5 per mille silver that is twice as hard as traditional silverplating and up to four times more tarnish resistant.
