Each piece of Ravenscroft Crystal is lead-free crystal and hand blown by old world European craftsmen. The shape, size, and color of a wine glass can dramatically affect your perception of the wine that is contained in it. The design and shape of each wine glass has evolved from the wine itself to promote the wine's positive characteristics while forgiving its faults. Glass shape is responsible for the quality and intensity of the bouquet and the flow of the wine. Our dessert stemware has a large bowl and narrow opening to develop the aromas then concentrate them to the nose. The stemware bowl for fortified wines is taller than it is wide in order to develop their intense and complex aromas.
