Made in France, the Peugeot Palace pepper mill and salt mill exude regal elegance with silver-plated accents. Knobs and bases are silver-plated with highly polished finishes. The mill bodies are crafted from beech wood with a hand-rubbed antique brown finish. The Palace mill is a reproduction of the Peugeot Model "Z", first manufactured in the year 1874. Even today, our 4-inch tall Palace pepper mill and salt mill beautifully complement a formal dining table at any special occasion.
The Palace pepper mill features the patented Peugeot milling mechanism, created in 1842 for the first Peugeot pepper mills. Constructed of case hardened steel, the mechanism is designed to crack the peppercorns before the actual fine grinding process. The grooves on a Peugeot mechanism are individually cut into the metal, and then case hardened, making them virtually indestructible. The Palace salt mill features a stainless steel mechanism that resists corrosion. Thanks to their proven designs, both mechanisms are backed by lifetime warranties. Mills come partially filled with black peppercorns or crystal sea salt.
