The Garrigue design in striking blues and greens includes lavender fronds and hints of olive foliage. Each decorated item begins as a fully finished white piece. Then the décor is applied by hand, and it goes back into the kiln for an additional firing to seal the decoration into the glazing, ensuring that the design will never scratch or wear off. Like all the Pillivuyt porcelain, it goes from freezer to oven to table to dishwasher in elegant style and will provide many years of reliable everyday service. The pure white, diamond-hard glaze is embedded throughout each piece and will never lose its luster, discolor, craze, chip, or crack.
