Baseball Arm Strength and Throwing Program
Throwing a baseball is a fundamental skill critical to success in the game of baseball. Whether pitcher or position player, throwing requires development like any other skill. A baseball player needs to have a strong, well-conditioned and healthy arm. Unfortunately, most baseball players neglect their arms or just take them for granted.
Alan Jaeger has developed a comprehensive arm strength and conditioning program designed to build a strong base or foundation in the off-season (fall/winter), and to establish a maintenance program in season (spring) through arm circles, surgical tubing, proper throwing mechanics, and a committed long toss throwing program. Alan Jaeger's program has been implemented by the Kansas City Royals baseball organization, the UCLA Bruins baseball team, and hundreds of professional and amateur baseball players nationwide.

The comprehensive Jaeger Sports program for arm strength and conditioning is clearly explained and demonstrated step by step in our video Thrive on Throwing. Featuring two of Alan Jaeger's long-time students, major league baseball players Mike Lieberthal and John Synder. Through arm circles, surgical tubing exercise, and proper throwing mechanics, you will learn the necessary steps that must be taken to ensure arm health, endurance, and recovery period. The last portion of the video covers Alan's trademark Long Toss program that is the core of developing arm strength, arm speed, and release point consistency and mental focus.
The Thrive on Throwing video is available as a DVD. The video can be purchased in combination with the Jaeger Sports J-Bands (available in adult or youth size). The J-Band 11-step exercise segment is an integral part of the arm strength and conditioning program and crucial for balancing, strengthening, and conditioning the rotator cuff muscle group. The J-Bands feature heavy-duty surgical tubing and easy-to-use velcro wrist cuffs and bolt snap.
