Haiku knife blades are forged from modern high-carbon stainless steel with molybdenum and vanadium. Edges are razor sharp and ideal for the precise cuts and slicing practiced in the Japanese kitchen. Haiku knives have a full tang for strength and handles made from Japanese honoki wood. After longtime use, the handle will take the shape of your hand. The knives also feature a bamboo peg (traditionally known in Samurai swords as " mekugi ") inserted from the side where tang and handle are joined for added stability.
