BroilKing Corporation began operations in 1964 in Bronx, New York. The company manufactured small electric broilers and cooker fryers under the brand name "Crown". Since the year 1999, the company has been known as BroilKing when it was acquired by Cadco, a manufacturer known for its commercial food service equipment. Except for a few professional products imported from Europe, all of BroilKing products are manufactured in the USA, mostly in its Connecticut factory.
