The Riga line of greenhouses manufactured by Hoklartherm in Germany is designed for the hobby gardener, who requires a heavy-duty, durable greenhouse structure. Riga is distinguished by its "onion" shaped roofline that ensures superior light translucence while affording plenty of headroom. The arched onion design also aids in shedding winter snow.

The Riga polycarbonate glazing is noticeably thicker than other greenhouses for first-class insulation. The walls and roof feature 8mm UV coated polycarbonate construction, while super heavy-duty 10mm polycarbonate glazing covers the end walls. As a result, the Riga greenhouse earns an outstanding 3.0 R-factor for insulation performance.

The frame is made from rustproof extruded aluminum. Once the polycarbonate glazing is installed, the greenhouse is sturdy enough to stand upon. Included as standard features of the Riga greenhouse line are:

  • Roof window (size 40" x 24") with automatic opener
  • Rear wall window (size 49" x 30") with adjustment arm
  • Dutch door (30" wide) with keyed lock

The greenhouse is easy to assemble with its channel design. Components slide and fit together. Two persons will require about one day for assembly excluding site preparation and shelf installation. Step-by-step assembly instructions are included.

    • Warranty is 10 years on the polycarbonate glazing and 15 years on the frame.

    Greenhouse Base

    The greenhouse should be erected upon a foundation frame or base. Our optional aluminum frame is sturdy and designed for Riga III series. The base can be placed directly on the ground and if you choose, it can be filled with soil, gravel, or concrete. The greenhouse bottom frame slides directly onto base for attachment. Other foundation solutions that can be considered are concrete, concrete blocks, or pressure-treated lumber.

    Hanging Shelves

    Hanging Shelves

    Our sturdy aluminum shelves attach in the back to the greenhouse frame, while the front edges are suspended from the greenhouse roof. Two shelf depths are available, 14" (top shelf) and 25" (bottom shelf). The bottom shelf also can be ordered with black trays (flats). Shelves for the Riga III series are 10 feet lonh to run the entire length of the greenhouse.

    If additional greenhouse ventilation is required, an extra adjustable roof window can be ordered (one roof window is included with the greenhouse). The roof window opens and closes itself automatically by indoor greenhouse temperature. Window size 40" x 24".

    Adjustable Hook and Hanger Sets
